Tim Pietrofere, Director of Bands
Northside Middle School
Mr. Pietrofere is a native of Fayetteville, GA. He attended Fayette County High School where
he graduated in 2000. Mr. Pietrofere attended Georgia College & State University where he
graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education in 2005 and a Masters of Music Education in
2009. While attending Georgia College & State University he was a member of the Concert
Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Jazz Combo and Bobcat Brass.

In his musical career Mr. Pietrofere has had the pleasure of playing with and under the
direction with many world famous musicians and composers including; The Canadian Brass,
Chris Vadala, Stephen Reineke, David Holsinger, and Ron Carter.


Mr. Pietrofere began his teaching career as the Director of Bands at Trinity Christian School
in Newnan GA. In 2007 he was named the Associate Director of Bands at Salem High
School in Conyers. In 2008 he was named Director of Bands at Ballard-Hudson Middle
School in Macon GA, where he founded the band program. Under his direction at
Ballard-Hudson the band grew into 6 th grade band, and Concert and Symphonic Bands as
well as the Tiger Pep Band. In 2011 Mr. Pietrofere was named the Director of Bands at
Henderson Middle School and Assistant Director to Jackson High School in Jackson GA. He
conducted the 6 th -8 th grade concert bands and Tiger Jazz Band and assisted with the Red
Regiment Marching Band. In 2012 Pietrofere was named the Director of Bands to Jackson
High School. The program at Jackson has grown musically and in size since he took over.
The band programs at Jackson High consist now of the Red Regiment Marching Band,
Concert and Symphonic Bands, Red Devil Jazz Band and small ensembles. The Red
Regiment Band has performed at 2013 Chick-fil-a Bowl in Atlanta, and received Division
Championships at the 2015 Greater Atlanta Marching Festival in Conyers and Habersham
Central in Carrollton Ga. Under his leadership the band received superior ratings at LGPE
State Festival, students have made District Honor Band and performed at UGA Janfest in
Athens. Mr. Pietrofere has been named STAR teacher in 2013, 2015 and 2016 for Butts
County. Mr. Pietrofere was named the Director of Bands at Northside Middle School in
Warner Robins in 2017.


His Professional memberships include: Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA),
National Band Association (NBA), International Trumpet Guild (ITG), Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
He currently resides with his wife, Marcie Pietrofere, Daughter, Ava Grace Pietrofere and
Daughter, Alyssa Kaitlyn Pietrofere in Macon GA.
